Here is the problem of many conventional bras that provide support- the wires that give support do not give comfort. In addition to this, removing it can be sometimes bothersome as there are some hard hooks you need to unfasten and the straps that keep on falling over your shoulder. Perhaps you have experienced exposing your bra straps to many folks. To top it all, many traditional bras would give you those nasty bra lines at the end of the day. Do you know the culprit of these irritating bra lines? It is the segmented lines that you can find in many bras, usually found near the bust line, at the sides as well as at the back. All these would be a figment of the past when you have the right fit of the Ahh Bra. You would feel comfortable in your bra, without having to worry about those red lines when you undress. Comfort is given much consideration when designing the Ahh Bra, so you are confident of your inner apparel.

Here is the good news: the Ahh Bra belongs to the Rhonda Shears line. This amazing apparel has the Body Form design, which makes the bra adapt to every shape and size of the modern woman. Want to know what the secret behind this? It's the wide straps of the Ahh Bra. The size allows the bra to stay in place, whatever activity you are in, even if you are in a rush.

Who Do You Need to Be?

Happy new year to you, and happy birthday to me! Today is my birthday and One thing I love about having a birthday just after the new year is that it truly makes me feel that I have a clean slate to start from, a fresh chance and whole year to reach my goals. I have set some pretty huge goals for myself this year, and part of what will help me be who I need to be is upleveling my image. Yes, even we style professionals have to take it up a notch sometimes, and I am my own best client.

How do you want to show up in 2013? If you spent the better part of 2012 stressing out about what to wear, randomly spending money on wardrobe 'quick fixes' only to discover that it was wasted on things that actually added to your problem, and feeling like you never really looked quite right, then I truly want to help you.

Life's too short to show up not looking (and feeling) your best. It can drag you down, make you feel frumpy, zap your confidence or keep you hiding out behind baggy, black clothes (yes, I know you!) But the truth is that you don't have to - you get to make a choice. And I want you to choose to look your very best, each and every day. To show up in a brilliant, beautiful way. To truly shine just by being who you were meant to be!

One aspect that can truly transform how you show up is refining your image. Personally, I'm giving myself a makeover and am looking forward to the process. Taking my image to a new level will allow me to do things I have never done before, to see myself in a different light and to show up in a powerful way.

The great news about upleveling is that it doesn't have to be difficult, expensive or time-consuming. In fact, quite the opposite. Now that I'm the mother of 4 kids who keep me very busy, I am honing my style skills and practicing what I preach. I'm not giving up on my style and I don't want you to either!

Here are a few easy steps to get you where you want to be:

1/ Self Assessment - Take some time this first week of the new year and assess where you are, and where you want to go. Will your existing image/style allow you to show up as the person you want to be? If your goal is to get a new job, have a new romance, or just boost your confidence, your image is key to stepping into those roles. In fact, if you don't it will only work against you and keep you right where you are. A few small changes can create a big impact on your look and your bottom line.

2/ Be Objective - Sure you see yourself in the mirror everyday, but try and see yourself with fresh eyes and feel how others see you. You may notice that your clothing could use an update, your roots are showing and a little makeup would give you a bit of a glow. Be gentle on yourself. This isn't the time for self-criticism, but about accepting yourself for who you are and asking how you can improve on that.

3/ One Small Change - While it can seem completely overwhelming to transform your entire image at once, starting with one small change a day can add up to a huge impact that will give you the results you're looking for without taking you out of your comfort zone. Ask yourself what one small change you could make today to achieve your image goal, and do it. Baby steps equal big results.

4/ Ask for Help - Change can be hard on your own, so don't be afraid to ask for help. A professional image consultant, hairstylist, makeup artist, personal shopper, dentist, therapist, etc. can all assist you in showing up the way you truly want to. They're all here to help and want the best for you, so don't be shy. A new you is waiting to happen!

Wishing you a bright and beautiful new year!

Shaping Up to Be a Great Year for Nails

When I hear someone say 2013, our current year isn't what springs to mind, instead I imagine "Twenty-Thirteen: Space-Age of the Future!" As crazy as that sounds, I'm not the only one who thinks like this. Just take a look at recent fashion trends in nail art designs!

Two-tone designs are very popular, and rightly so! Contrasting colors make for some very interesting designs that make you look creative and cool.

Half Moon/ Reverse French Manicure

The lunula, the white crescent shaped part of the nail that meets the cuticle, has become a popular area of the nail to paint or even leave unpainted! In the 1930's the Moon Manicure was a very popular design, where the center of the nail was painted one color and the lunula and tips were painted another. Nowadays, half moon manicures are just as popular as they had been many years ago, with celebrities like Dita Von Teese promoting her own brand of nail stickers that sport the vintage design.

Ombre

This trend has been around for the past two years and it doesn't look to be falling out of style just yet. The appeal to this design is the beautiful color gradients which can be done on individual nails or fading from one nail to the next. A fun way to jazz up you ombre nails is too add glitter to the tips.

Racing Stripe

Solid colored manicures are beautiful all on their own, but when they are contrasted with a thin strip of another complementary color, they stand out even more. The thin stripe interrupts the base color only slightly, making it a beautiful and elegant design that easy for anyone to do.

Magnetic

How futuristic is this? A nail polish formula containing small metal pieces, undetectable in the texture, that react to a magnetic pull creating a beautiful 3-dimensional design. Though this is one of my least favorite trends, I do think it would be a ton of fun just to play with.

Nail Stickers

This once elite trend of elaborately designed coatings for nails is now highly affordable and available everywhere. If you want to splurge, many salons offer Minx, the brand associated with the original nail stickers that have been so popular with celebrities and designers. Buying stickers at the drugstore are a fraction of the price you'd pay at the nail salon and look just as good.

Greens

Mint is just as popular as it was nearly two years ago. It's a great shade, complementary to any skin tone and comes off playful and girly. Hunter green made a grand debut in fall fashion and nail art but its time has come to an end. Spring will be all about ushering Emerald tones in to take its place.

Metal Accents

This look involves plating the nail with gold, silver or chrome designs that either cover the nail wholly or partially. It has a futuristic feel to it, making the nail look modern, sophisticated and bionic all at the same time.

How to Look Taller For Petite Women

Do not be discouraged by the fact that you are not the tallest in the crowd, who wants to be that tall anyway? Petite women have their benefits as well and can easily look taller with some simple guidance.

With fashion, we are able to adjust our appearance in almost every possible way. Height is no different and can be altered with proper use of fashion.

1. Hairstyle. This is extremely important whether you know it or not. How your hairstyle looks can alter the illusion of height. Imagine yourself with a short haircut, try looking in the mirror and tuck your excess hair away so that it only reaches down to your chin. Your face looks rounder and shorter, correct? Longer hair will make your face look longer and in most cases, your body as well. Having your hair up can also make you taller.

2. Heels & Pumps. This is a given, wearing 5 inch heels or pumps will make you taller. Just be mindful of the occasion when you are wearing high heels. If you are spending a lot of time outdoors or standing/walking, you should avoid this.

3. Wearing a maxi dress. The maxi dress is a long dress that goes down as far as to your ankles. This long dress may as well be designed intentionally for the purpose of making you look taller. It has always made me look taller. If you don't believe me, try one on or do a quick google image search to see for yourself. Not only does the maxi dress make you look taller, it can also make you look slimmer as well (if that is another look that you're shooting for).

4. Wearing high waisted jeans. Most people today don't own a pair of these, we're in the 21st century. Though there are smart and fashionable petite women who do. High waisted jeans with a shorter top or blouse will cast the illusion of longer legs. Pair this with the heels and you'll look significantly taller. This has worked for me in many cases where I ran into a friend after not having seen them for a few years. They'd make a comment on how I've grown taller (which I haven't really).

5. Avoid large bags. Avoid large Long Champ bags, we all love them. We are petite, so wearing anything gigantic will only make us smaller. Go with a small shoulder bag or at most a mid-sized purse.

6. Wear a thin belt. This only applies if your bottoms or your dress is made to have a belt. Thick belts will make you look smaller.

Be mindful that being short or petite is not a bad thing. We should cherish the genes that are hereditary to us.

3 Scripts That Keep Women Stuck at Work

"Be courageous. It's one of the only places left uncrowded." -- Anita Roddick

Even in today's workforce, far too many women face seemingly insurmountable obstacles to their success. Repeatedly running up against the same barriers, they find themselves stuck in dead-end jobs or unfulfilling careers. What is required is that you take time to recognize the mask of "scripts" that have multiplied over time to define and obscure your spirit's identity. Then, with this reflection, you realize how the scripts have limited an honest and clear vision of who you really are: not a character in a B-movie created from scripts but someone capable of real introspection.

If you respond to obstacles from the lower levels of courage consciousness, you invariably get stuck. Even if you manage to get "unstuck," you will find yourself repeating the same patterns and getting stuck at the same obstacles (like a bad version of the movie Groundhog Day) until you respond from a higher level of courage consciousness. Once you begin to recognize the B-movie script for the obstacle that it is, the inner power of personal courage enables you to be able to grasp significant opportunities in the workplace and in life. Simply put, getting unstuck and staying unstuck requires the spirit of courage. Regardless of your unique circumstances, courage elevates your consciousness into the realm of truth, enabling you to advance your life's purpose.

1. Step Up!

A woman who noticed that a high-ranking position would soon be vacated said, "I thought about it and thought about it. So I did the somewhat brazen thing and went over and asked, "Can I have Vicki's job?" What's wrong with asking, and why is it "brazen" to ask? Why would this be viewed as a courage obstacle called intimidation? If you're too intimidated to ask, you don't get the opportunity to step up! Perceiving her action as brazen versus courageous exemplifies a feminine need to rework her inner script. Do you see yourself as brazen, bold, brash, blatant or forward at work? Or are you a courageous woman overcoming invisibility to achieve success intertwined with happiness in your job? Courageously forthright action does not undermine a woman's femininity. It does, however, reveal a woman's willingness to "showcase her talents" (one of 12 courage actions).

2. The Desire to Be Perfect
Are you able to recognize the difference between your potential and your experience? For example, if you move to another division, can you gain experience, develop new skills and broaden your business horizons? If so, try not to match your style or skills to fit a "perfect" checklist. Best not to be overwhelmed by perfection, but instead apply candor ( one of twelve cousins to courage) to express your expectations and cultivate new abilities. Like any other ability, we all have courage to varying degrees, one size does not fit all, but to exercise it requires living in conscious choice. Are you more inclined toward caution to keep a "perfect" image? Does a script in your head perpetuate a fear that you won't perform well enough or you are not "fully" qualified for the job? Rather than strive for perfection, feminine courage actions such as work without regrets, showcase your talents and reveal your vulnerability free you! Do you have the courageous will to try it?

3. Respond to First Red Flags

First red flag warnings are everywhere. A woman I will call Deb was preparing to speak at a conference when she got a big red flag in the form of a disturbing email from the association's education director. Meant for a staff member, the email was filled with sniping remarks about her! Believing she had a good relationship with the client, Deb was surprised by the unprofessional comments. Deb surmised that a rude conversation had taken place between the two co-workers at her expense. "Why would I want to speak at a conference when I'm being undermined behind the scene?" Deb asked. With courage, she replied to the director's email: "Did I miss a cue or is something wrong?"

The director quickly discounted the errant email by writing: "That email was one that people tell stories about in business magazines... It was meant for... " Deb wanted to forget the incident but struggled for weeks with the nagging "first red flag" warning. In business for over ten years, she had learned the hard way that one red flag usually follows another, indicating a situation in danger of spiraling out of control. With the insight of her own past mistakes, Deb hoped she would be wrong but grew increasingly concerned. Needless to say, she was not surprised when her presentation did not go well, and she now has a stronger resolve to honor the first red flag. Ultimately, Deb learned a hard lesson: respond directly to the ambiguity represented by that first red flag warning by implementing a courage action called "confront uncomfortable truths."

Conclusion
The concepts of courage-centered living are deceptively simple. The mind (ego) will want to undermine them. After all, how could something so easy work? We become courageous by being courageous. It's that simple! All you have to do is decide whether this forgotten virtue is worth learning and claiming in your life. Leadership qualities are defined by courage, such as asking for the tough project or staying focused on the results. What would motivate you to explore where this ancient virtue fits into your work life?

Are Demi Bras for Everyday or For Special Occasions?

A demi bra is also called a half cup bra, because its cups cover only one half or one third of a woman's breasts. This type is among the popular bras in the market because it can be available in any style that suits a woman's personality and size, besides its ability to provide support and a bit of sexual allure. Besides the fact that you get less coverage from this bras, these undergarments are able to lift and shape your breasts. This uplifting ability makes the bra ideal for petite women and also for cup C sizes.

The amount of cleavage this bra can create is dependent on some factors such as under wires and padded cups. The under wires add support to the busts and the cups placement push the breasts inward and upward. To know if a half bra is a good one, it should position your nipples between your shoulder and your elbow. This is the ideal point. The demi bra should not ride up, not cause your breasts to sit away from the center gore, and not dig into your shoulders.

Because the bra functions to enhance the size of your breasts, this bra type is not a popular choice for large chested women. They want their breast size minimized to make it fitted to tighter tops or to create a more proportioned look. Demi bras increase your breast size rather than decrease it. Also, demi bras are not to be worn when exercising, because your breasts will spill out of the cups, being only an inch above your nipples. What you need for active movements is the style that offers more coverage and more breast control.

As the demi bra has only a half size cup that covers only your nipples, the very top of your bust is left uncovered. This allows you to put on lower cut clothing, and other style options that gives the right amount of appeal.

Demi bras are available in many different patterns, materials and designs such as solid or seamed cup, lace or cotton, plain white or animal print, front or back closure and so on. But the most important feature of the demi bra is that it is styled for comfort, so it is suitable to wear not only everyday but also during special occasions. The breast lifting, shaping, and enhancing ability of the demi bra makes this possible.

Choosing the Appropriate Handbag: When Fashion Makes Sense

When fashion conscious individuals prepare themselves for an event they make sure that everything is perfect. The wardrobe is ideal for the moment of truth. Their shoes are compatible with their outfit; even their eyewear is compelling. Now is the time to add the bulky accessory that will finish the look: the handbag. Which handbag to choose may be complicated. There are so many to choose from. Handbags come with shoulder straps: shoulder bags; satchels are handy and do forget about the clutch purse.

What will make the difference?

Popular sayings include judging someone by their taste in handbag accessories. That may sound irrelevant to some, but look into the past and think 'lunch box' or 'backpack'. Even the assortment of pens, used in school, made the final fashion related decisions. Frankly, during some events and moments of presentation, it may be about first impressions. The handy handbag accessory represents social status and what type fashion decisions can be made to improve the personal image and prestige of certain moments. In fact, this fashion entity is so important that cost may not be an issue.

Handbag and Functionality

Besides the type of handbag accessory you may choose, the functionality of this item is dually important. Fashion conscious people want a 'purse' that is intriguing. In reference to handbags and purses, intriguing (evaluative fashion sense) is defined by establishing a fashion statement along with the functionality of the product.

Moreover, there is no use acquiring a handbag accessory that is annoyingly useless. The word might get around pretty quick that you keep housing a faulty product on your arm and a downfall may set in from that instance. So, be sure to pick a product which would make all of those credit cards, the checkbook and hidden trinkets comfortable to accompany you during the moments of your lifestyle.

Handbags That Fit Your Public Image and Personal Situation

Chiefly, the way a handbag is carried also affects personal image. That is why there are so many tote-bag options on the market today. An intelligent, fashion conscious person must be aware of their surroundings. Whether you plan to travel in the city or through urban areas, the type of purse you choose can determine your future. Example, if you are traveling on crowded buses or trains it would be a smooth move to carry a type of bag that can be held in front of your body (preferable with a strap).

This technique would deter pick-pocketers and it would also prevent losing falling items, due to negligence. In contrast, an elegant clutch purse could woo the moment and assist with the prissy or secure look. That particular style is common at dinner parties and events where bulky bags just get into the way.

Ultimately, many are thankful for handbag accessories and their delightful appearances. Even though there are styles which may seem plain, the usefulness of them is well worth it. Conversely, there are very fashionable options for handbags. The design options are abundant and your personal image just may depend on those factors. Be sure to pick the appropriate style for that certain moment and enjoy the benefits of a sound choice of fashion sense.
