Hen Party on a Budget! Have a Great Hen Night Without Breaking the Bank

So you or a friend is getting married and its time to plan the hen party. Well do not worry! By following these simple few tips you can have a great time without spending too much money.

1. Plan in advance
Having time to plan is always an advantage. This allows you the chance to look around and research different ideas. It will also mean you don't rush into something and pay top dollar.

2. Contact various companies
Many cities often have a number of companies that supply the same types of activities. The city I live in for example, has 3 companies which all offer pole-dancing and burlesque dancing experiences. Don't just look up their websites. Take the time to send them an email with the date and size of your party and ask them what they can offer you. The company owners are also aware of their competition and will often offer you better deals and discounts over an email or telephone call than they would be willing to display on their site.

3. Night Clubs
Most hen parties will finish in a night club or bar. It is always better to check around in the city your living in or visiting to check which establishments are hen friendly. The worst thing you can do is spend half the evening walking from club to club to be told you can't get in. You should also contact them in advance. In today's tight times the bar and club industry is feeling the pinch. This is great news for you. Many clubs will give large groups free entry or drinks on arrival. You may also be able to blag a free bottle of bubbly for the hen.

4. Fancy Dress
A hen party is not complete without some form of fancy dress or theme. This need not cost a fortune though. Many of the pound or dollar stores now have party sections and displays specifically for hen parties. Here you will find everything from hats and tiaras to whistles and inflatables. You can also try eBay for lots of different costumes and accessories.

5. The Hotel
Its a great idea to let the hotel know in advance that you are a hen party. Some hotels cater for them and some don't. Knowing this in advance can save a lot of hassle. The last thing you want is to be told that you cant be in fancy dress in the hotel lobby or bar. Also some hotels will purposely spread the group out over different floors and sections of the hotel to cut down the likelihood of noise and the chances to the group running between rooms and partying.

Also make sure your hotel allows you to consume your own alcohol in your rooms. Some hotel are now stating in their terms and conditions that if they find alcohol in your room you will be charged a fine unless it was purchased from the hotel itself.

By following these simple points you will hopefully have a great time and some fun memories.
