Event Venues That Are Out of the Ordinary

One of the biggest decisions you have to make when you're planning your wedding is the where. Not only does the location set the tone of your wedding, but once you've chosen your location, you are at the mercy of the venue's available dates to choose the date. There are an ample supply of strip mall type halls, and they might serve as a very inexpensive location, but with the fluorescent lighting, tile floors that look more at home in a 1990's Kmart then under your feet on the dance floor, these venues often fall right behind the courthouse in a brides choice of wedding venues.

Your home church is usually a pretty safe bet, and if you're religious you might get an officiant in your pastor as well bundling these two services. Depending on your church this could also be an affordable option. To build on the idea of the church, you might look at a church that is in your area, but maybe out to the nearest rural location. These churches can often be found for much less green and often have charm that the big city churches lack. Parking will be ample, and if you're lucky you will also find that there is a field or forest surrounding the church making outdoor photos all the more interesting and pleasant.

We all know that our favorite golf course or hotel is always ready to offer up an event room, and sometimes with great results, but these options are far from unique. There's not a whole lot that is worse than a handful of your guests remembering prior weddings that happened in the exact same fashion in the exact same location as your wedding. It's your once in a lifetime event, so why not be creative and think of a place that is unique to you? If you do opt for the Hotel or Golf course, keep in mind the different types of events you're hoping to have. If you're going to have a photo booth rental at your wedding, be sure they are approved by the venue, and there is ample space for them.

There are plenty of buildings that could hold a lot of people, and hold a lot of charm. Maybe you and your fiance took a road trip together and saw an old barn that you loved. Well compiling a list of empty barns nearby, contacting the owners and trying to get your event held will ensure that none of your guests have been there before. Maybe even a few of them had the same warm feelings about

the place and have wanted a peek inside? In Chehalis Washington, there is a man named Jason that converted his barn to one of the most beautiful event venue's you've ever seen. He even set up a pizza oven behind the barn, and acres of beautiful land for some breath-taking images.

Maybe you have an interest in automobiles? Museums are another great location for a memorable event. At an auto museum you should not only have a beautiful space, but imagine setting up an open air photo booth in front of a classic Dusenberg, now that's what I call a back drop!

So don't just go on a Google hunt for a "wedding venue" think of what you want in a venue, what is personal to you, and then look for something that fits you.
