Holiday Gift Guide

Don't know what to get the amazing women in your life? Me neither! Sometimes it can feel like there's no amount of planning that will ever prepare us for the frenzied stress of Christmas shopping. My goal this year is to stop over thinking my gifts and instead rely on retailers to do the work. Many shops advertise gift sets, which bundle two or more products into a collection with a price much lower than you would have paid for each item separately. These make for great gifts because not only do they allow you to give more without having to pay the full price, they also save you from the hassle of shopping for each item separately.

Makeup

E.L.F.(Eyes Lips Face) cosmetics is a great line of makeup with incredibly reasonable prices. The quality of their products are comparable to ones sold in department stores only they are far less expensive with the maximum price of a single item being around six dollars. Their holiday gift sets include a set of 14 nail polishes, complete makeup palettes and brush sets for $10-$30.

Lancôme created a set well worth buying separately. The collection includes their Hypnose Star Mascara, Eyelash primer, Makeup Remover and the ever-popular Artliner Eyeliner. The entire kit cost around $34 online through Sephora, but values at $77.

Bath and Body

If your giftee is the type of person who loves to pamper herself, Bath and Body Works is the place to shop. Their Splish Splash Git Sets include a lotion, body crème, sponge, shower gel and fragrance mist for $32.50. The set is valued at $60 and also includes a reusable plastic tub for bath supplies. The only difficult decision here is what fragrance to buy.

Another important brand to mention in bath and body products, especially during this season, is Philosophy. Philosophy's Home for the Holidays collection includes Sparkling Cranberry, Peppermint Bark, Have a Cherry Christmas and Cinnamon Buns. Each scent in the kit includes one 3-in-1 shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath and one lip gloss making it an eight-piece gift for that Christmas fanatic in your life.

Hair Care

While hair care products are more of a necessity than a luxury, they can still make amazing gifts, especially for those that take great pride in the quality of their hair. You may know someone who colors their hair regularly, making a color treatment set the perfect gift. Or you can always just go by your giftee's type of hair, whether it be smooth, curly, voluminous and find a set that includes products, other than shampoo and conditioner, that might be fun for them to use in enhancing their look. Great hair care sets can be found either online or in your local salon.

Fragrance

If you want to buy your friend a new bottle of her favorite perfume or replace her old one with a favorite of yours, consider buying a fragrance set. Most sets include full sized bottles of the perfume but they usually come with full sized scented lotions as well. These sets are a much better bargain than buying a perfume alone and often include a free bag or tote with purchase.
